Oakridge got the best of Montague in the teams' season-opening matches Monday afternoon, as the Wildcats lost 18-12 in the girls' match and 26-4 in the boys' match.
Carmen Howard had the high score for Montague's girls in singles play, rolling a 128, and Jordyn Tolan bowled a 127. On the boys' side, Matthew Leatherman bowled a 231, and Brock Hunter earned a pair of singles wins with a 214 and a 194.
