Montague earned its first win of the season Tuesday night against
Orchard View, 40-27, to open West Michigan Conference Lakes play.
The Wildcats (1-1, 1-0 WMC Lakes) rode strong defense to the win, holding OV to only 16 points through three quarters.
"I
liked how we improved from game one to game two," Montague coach Nick
Thaler said. "Generally that is where you see the biggest change. The
offense will come."
Cortland Schneider led the 'Cats with 14 points. Kellan Francis and Riley Mulder added nine each.
