Montague girls basketball locks down on defense in 4th quarter, beats Oakridge

Montague stifled Oakridge in the pivotal fourth quarter Friday night, picking up a 42-32 victory to end West Michigan Conference Lakes play at 8-4 (11-8 overall).
The Wildcats outscored Oakridge 10-1 in the final quarter to put the game away. Montague won every league game this season apart from two-game sweeps at the hands of Fremont and Ludington, the WMC Lakes' top two finishers.
Maizie Collins led a balanced Montague attack with 12 points. Adilynn Peterson added 10.
