Montague baseball beats ranked Muskegon Catholic for 3rd straight win

Montague got a late-inning rally to defeat Division 4 No. 12 Muskegon Catholic Wednesday, 7-3, for its third straight victory.
The Wildcats (3-3) trailed 3-2 after four innings, but put together a three-run fifth, taking advantage of a couple of key Crusaders errors. Two more runs in the fourth, highlighted by a Cooper Bradley RBI double, secured the win.
The bottom of the order was big for Montague, as the eighth and ninth hitters in the lineup - Jack Degen and Bradley - each got a pair of hits and drove in a run. Robbie Smith and Kyle Earnest (the latter as a courtesy runner for Fletcher Thommen) each scored two runs.
Ryver Jarka pitched very well for the 'Cats, allowing only four hits and no earned runs while striking out seven in 6 2/3 innings to get the win.
