Reeths-Puffer tennis rolls through singles play in win over Mona Shores

Reeths-Puffer defeated rival Mona Shores Monday afternoon, 6-3, in an early signal of what the Rockets are capable of this year.
R-P won all four singles matches. Olivia Smith, Hope Latsch, Molly Matz and Mylie Neel all secured victories. Latsch impressively battled back from a first-set loss to win by a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 score, while her teammates each won in straight sets.
The Rockets also picked up close wins at No. 3 and No. 5 doubles. Ava Dietz/Kaitlyn Darow took a hard-fought 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. No. 5 doubles produced the day's longest match, as Maddie Hutchinson/Lindsay Jeroy played a lengthy third set to fight off a strong challenge from the Sailors' Luci Cooper/Lexy Brady, 7-5, 2-6, 13-11.
