Whitehall overwhelmed Fremont Wednesday in Coastal Conference action, taking an 8-0 victory.
Seven
of the Vikings' eight wins came in straight sets, and five of those
seven saw the winning flight allow no more than two set points.
Most
dominant were singles players Brianna Bentz and Riley Shafer, who won
at the No. 2 and No. 4 flights respectively while allowing only one set
point apiece. The top two doubles pairs, Izzy Gould/Alivia DeWildt and
Addie Broton/Avarie Bentz, also allowed only one set point each.
Grace McDowell picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory, and Emily VanDam/Braelee Fogus won their doubles match 6-3, 6-2.
